It's been HOT here. Still. I wore this hat to soccer practice because the top of my head get's burnt just waiting for two hours while my the kids practice.

I love this hat. You can sit on it and mess it up and just put it back together with some tugs here and there.

Well, it has finally cooled down here! Today's high was low 80s. I think it is perfect weather. I could live in this weather year-round. I hope it sticks around.

It was cool enough to wear jeans! It makes me long for fall. I can't even believe I'm typing that but it's true.

It's been HOT here. My car said 105 this afternoon. It's awful. I want some relief! To top it off, all you smell outside is smoke from the fires. I've had terrible sleep due to MiniB waking up every night unable to breathe and needing his inhaler. I've had a headache for three days now. Ok, enough complaining but seriously, send some rain!

I am a skirt-wearing fiend this week! It has been sooo hot here. We set a record yesterday. My car says 105 degrees but that seems a bit high but close. It's hard to want to wear anything cute when it is this hot. But for you my friends I will try!

My husband makes me laugh while he takes these so they get kind of fuzzy, sorry.

I still can't get used to taking pictures for What I Wore Wednesday and every single time I do it, I feel ultra silly. This week is no different. I find myself sneaking behind a tree to have B take some quick shots for me. I worry the neighbors will watch and think that I'm a weirdo who wants pictures of myself. Oy!

Lately I like mixing colors that are bright. A lime green shirt? How about an orange necklace with that? Why not, right?? Aqua capri pants? Uh, where is that leopard belt of mine? My husband thinks I'm having a mid-life crisis! Maybe I am..... I even bought some really red lipstick the other day. I feel like my grandma when I put it on because it might just be the same shade she wears!

It is officially summer break around here! I will soon be running kids around to VBS, swimming, mini chef camp and more. We are hitting the high 80s here so once we hit the 90s, I am fashion challenged. I can only manage shorts and flip flops with a tank in the 90s. This outfit was definitely off by noon! You like my little Shih Tzu on the ground? She loves putting her belly on the warm patio.

Normally when I buy clothes, I seek out neutral colors. I'm trying to branch out but I still feel silly walking out of the house in such colorful clothing. It is so, well...not me. I can tell I'm uncomfortable in this picture! Oh well!

30-Day Challenge (2)

I t is day #2 of the 30-day photo challenge. Today's mission: Take an outfit picture. UGH! UGH! UGH! Seriously? Let me tell you, this was a hard one. I love looking at everyone's What I Wore Wednesday images at The Pleated Poppy and had NO IDEA just how tough it is to take a full-body image of myself. It is quite a coincidence that today is Wednesday so I'm going to link up with The Pleated Poppy just for today....

I had initially tried to take my picture inside with some heels I think are much cuter than my flip flops. Honestly it looked terrible so I moved it outside and I couldn't book it into position and beat my timer with my heels on so I switched to my flip flops. Here is my inside image. How do you all do it who participate in the What I Wore posts? I have newfound respect! I'm sooo ready to take cloud pictures tomorrow. I'm much more inspired by nature!
